This record-setting run was the result of a collaboration between the Indy Autonomous Challenge, Politecnico di Milano, and Maserati as part of the 1000 Miglia Experience Florida. The trial took place at the Space Florida Launch and Landing Facility (LLF), a 15,000-foot runway famed for hosting NASA’s Space Shuttle landings, which provided an iconic and challenging environment for the high-speed test.

The feat was achieved with an AI driver developed by the PoliMOVE-MSU team of the AIDA division at Politecnico di Milano.
