About the Opportunity

The FMR-Lab engages in the development of groundbreaking FM-based multimodal agent systems and multi-agent systems. Their research emphasizes several vital aspects:

• Tool Utilization Capabilities: Enhancing how systems apply their functionalities in real-world contexts.
• Planning and Reasoning: Developing sophisticated methods to improve decision-making and analytical processes.
• Synthetic Data Generation: Innovating data creation techniques to support advanced modelling.

This research is applied directly to address complex, real-world challenges, making it crucial for national and international projects such as OpenGPT-X, TrustLLM, and EuroLingua-GPT. Role: Researcher in Multilingual Foundation Models

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Designing and Implementing Innovative Methods: Develop techniques to train multilingual foundations more efficiently and enhance their language comprehension.
• Technology Integration: Seamlessly incorporate these methods into the existing technology stack.
• High-Performance Training: Conduct training of foundation models on high-performance computing systems with several thousand GPUs.
• Scholarly Communication: Publish research findings at premier international conferences and in leading journals, while also representing the research in public forums.
• Market Evaluation: Work conjointly with application teams to assess the commercial potential of research outcomes.
